Because it is the first book we are not as much of a "democracy" on how we decide to do things yet as I would like us to be, but that will come. So for the sake of organization, let us try to have this book finished by September 20th, that should give us plenty of time to get the book and to read it, and then enough time at the end of the month to decide on another book for october.

Yes and no. The book is considered a literary classic. These books are ALWAYS good picks because you can debate their worth as classics.

I bought it at B+N a while back and never got around to reading it. I will queue it up next because I am bookless at the moment having just finished a few. Count me in as long as you have books that interest me. 🙂

You don't have to like a book to talk about it. In fact, your opinion is valuable. What made the book horrible?

I read it in high school. And I graduated HS in 67, so it's time to read it again. I remember that I also didn't much like it. Curious to see how I react this time.

Oh, yeah, sign me up too, thanks.

Honestly sounds like a good idea but I don't think I can afford any books right now 😱

But if you guys come up with a book I already have but haven't read yet then I'll join on in 😛

Has anyone started yet? Once it stops raining I can get some reading done(low lighting inside).

Yes I started it. And, I must say so far it is pretty good. Lord Henry seems like he is reading a book of famous quotes when he talks. I have around 30 pages read.

I feel it's like he's talking at you, & not to you.
