For anyone visiting Austin who has some free time mid-day Friday, go to Perry's Steakhouse (7th and Colorado) for the Pork Chop Lunch Special.

It's by far the best pork chop I've ever had and it's only $12.

I went around 4th of July a few years ago and saw plenty of bats. I thought the peak bat time was spring but it would be weird to have batfest when there are no bats so who knows.
