Atomic Fireballs

Had been sitting in a jar that was irradiated with 160 mR/HR gamma radiation (15.5 meV) for nearly two years?

They seem to be more brittle on the outside but that's probably due to the fact of age and not radiation.

Cheers!

Yes, it's probably just better.

Should you really be taking suggestions from a brother in law that eats dog food?

Have you seen "K-19, The Widowmaker"? You know, that movie with all the Russian sailors and the nuclear reactor breach and how they all started puking their guts out before dying of radiation 😛?

Not familiar with that one...

My dosimeter has been pegged a few times and the doc yells at me...yada yada yada.

Still here! 😛

ok all I know is all of that clicking means there's a lot of radiation, I wasn't quite sure how strong 160 mR's was...

Can you translate that for us who don't really know what you're talking about, and compare the levels of radiation of something else to what you just said? And no, I wouldn't eat them. Those things suck.

From this site you will find the U.S. avg is 60 mr/per YEAR. This is backgroud count i.e. cosmic, natural and manmade sources, etc.

160 mr/hr is quite substantial. Such a source of high energy gamma unshielded is quite dangerous to handle.

p.s. they don't suck, you have to suck them! 😉

are they glowing?

No scintillations were observed coming from the product. If they were present, consuming them would most definitely be bad.
