states there are 4 services, but have been told that there are actaully 5 services that ATM offers.....anyone know the missing one?

some people break up VBR into RT (real time) and NRT (non-real time). that might be the 5th one yer talking about.

edit: for what it's worth, using MPLS, it is very easy to do QOS on a layer 2 network without all the overhead of ATM. coupled with any-to-any connectivity since it's based on private IP addressing, MPLS with QOS is becoming more favorable to ATM and Frame Relay (no more damn DLCIs!).
