Atlhon 850 Vcore

Hi there,

My T-Bird 850 is having temp. problems running at 1.795v (auto-set by A7V133- jumper-free mode). I'd like to know if can set vcore to 1.65 or 1.6 keeping it stable as it is now.

Thanks in advance,

Unax

It's called undervolting, and significantly cools it down (power consumption is porportional with the square of the voltage). The effect of undervolting is the same as overclocking, but not increasing voltage, but without the worry of heat. Sure you can undervolt it, but just like overclocking, you're operating the chip outside of specs, and are voiding your warrenty.
