Ok ok my last post on this, but this had me in stitches!
I guess if your name isn't Barack Hussein Obama, you can use these words without the entire Baptist convention screaming bloody crusade!

Well what fking madrassa did he graduate from?
Quickly everyone, check for a flag pin to make sure he's a True Patriot ®!

Found it interesting Trump refused to utter the words "radical Islamic terrorism". Wonder why? Too much of a cuck?

hor hor hor insult insult insult.

You want me to acknowledge that people wanted Obama dead? Fine, I know full well plenty did. Duh.

Implying I wouldn't is downright bizarre. I don't think like you... I don't work in hero worship or absolutes.
Facts are facts.

Found it interesting Trump refused to utter the words "radical Islamic terrorism". Wonder why? Too much of a brilliant gentleman?

Could be that he has finally realized he's in shit? Nice bow he did though.

Did anyone watch the speech?

What did you think?

I saw some excerpts and it was far far toned down from his campaign rhetoric. He caught some flack for using "Islamic" instead of "Islamist" when talking bout terrorism at one point, a distinction apparently of importance over there. Aides said he was "exhausted". There really wasn't much of interest or substance that I saw but he managed to keep his dick out of the meat grinder so I guess it's a win for the administration from that perspective.

This part of the trip was carefully engineered to be as gentle on him as possible and the Saudis rolled out the red carpets both literally and figuratively. The Israelis and Europe are going to be lot harder.

Didn't watch (can't stand to hear Trump speak) but read the transcript. Suffice it to say that he toned down the rhetoric quite a bit ("Islam is great!") and didn't piss off the Middle East, which I guess is a win. Nothing of real substance beyond what any other President of either party has said in the past 20 years.

To summarize for Trump's base: Globalists win!

Yeah, when you think about the implications it's pretty obvious why that's a distinction with significant meaning. Islamists are a specific faction in politics, analogous to fundamentalists over here. Saying Islamic is basically saying you can't be bothered with the distinction and want to blame everyone for the actions of a (pretty unlikeable) political faction.

It'd be something like saying that Dylan Roof is an example of White terrorism rather than White Supremacist terrorism, except in a climate where wars have and might be waged based on those actions.

If T-rizzle really wanted to hurt Islam, he would convert to and represent it instead of Christianity for a while.

For the record I had a very low bar for Trump and he exceeded it. He didn't do anything remarkably silly but still was a useful idiot.
Speech wise he obviously followed a TelePrompter but he did fine. I'll say his position on we (the US) will help but you (ME guys) out but they need to do more is actually something I completely agree on. Hopefully Trump doesn't change his mind in a few hours.

I thought it was a good speech. He was received well and some in the room appeared to be a bit uncomfortable when the subject was terrorist, but overall a good job.

Not anywhere near the disaster predicted here in the forum.

I'll agree to this too
