Atlanta Hawks center dies

Wow, that's unfortunate! 🙁🙁

His brother is in the league too. [edit: n/m, was thinking of jason/jaron collins]

That's exactly what the bulls didn't want to happen to eddie curry.

 So sad 🙁

On another note I pray to god they didn't find any supplements in the autopsy, or we will see another country/continent wide ban like we did with Ehphedrine

Sad. 🙁

Which scares me because these guys are fit and healthy. What makes me think how long a lazy ass as myself is going to last.

I think something like this depends quite a bit on genetics. A genetically weak heart simply can't be overcome by excercise and a good lifestyle, if it can be at all. On the other hand, a healthy strong heart can't necessarily be easily subdued by poor health as well, particularly at such a young age.

You're right, thx.

Something is not right, He played basketball all of his life. If his heart was weak it would have given out before this IMO. Many people eat fried food all there lives, are sedentary and still live to be 40 years old. He wasnt even 30. I suspect either some sort of drug abuse, or foul play.

Unless he has some previous heart condition, i.e genetic abnormality like a ASD or a VSD, Atrial/Ventricular Septal Defect.

I agree, we will hear more on this as the details become clear. I would suspect drug abuse or a pre-existing condition that was not found.

I am probally wrong, but I think I remember reading somewhere, taller people are at risk, morso for heart problems?

Marfan's (sp?) syndrome?

I wonder if it had something to do with dinner. Article said he was fine at dinner and right afterwards but started feeling bad in the middle of the night. Maybe some really strange case of food poisoning?
