Ended up missing my part of Fulton and turned tornadic when it went through Gwinnett. Funnel cloud was reported in Norcross. No damage reported so far. Hail sizes were 0.75 to 1.50 inches in diameter. Storm is now out of Gwinnett and south of Atlanta. Ok there is an unconfirmed report that a tornado did touch down on Ronald Reagan Pkwy in Snellville near the East Point area. Another batch is on the way.

Unfortunately the storms moving out of Alabama are looking stronger than the earlier one. Three supercells have converged. They are looking nasty. There is no rain that is blocking these storms from feeding off of the gulf. Even though there is no daytime heating the gulf is feeding these storms and they are very severe.
Here is a radar link showing the storms converging.

Storms have become much weaker due to less instability of the air and surface cooling. Most are not severe anymore.

I am in Norcross. It was pretty rough for a bit. Lightning was striking really close to our apt. It reminded me a lot of Michigan in the summer time. It just had a tornado feel to it.

Supposedly there was a funnel cloud over Norcross. I am in Norcross about 5 days a week along Peachtree industrial and Atlantic Blvd. I haven't gotten a confirmation of that report yet, nor the report of the actual tornado touch down is Snellville. I am finally getting some rain here in Fulton(Dunwoody Sandy Springs). Lightning is picking up. There storms are weaker now and I don't expect any hail.

BTW, I am a weather nut. I was majoring in broadcast meterology.

Good ol' Sandy Springs. I lived there for a year (worked in Dunwoody) while attending Georgia State University. How are things in that area? I couldn't take the construction and traffic hell anymore so I moved. :)
