ATL: Where should I move to??

I currently am living between Clairmont and Shallowford, but my lease is up soon and I really want to find someplace new to live. I'm looking for a 1 or 2 bedroom apartment and I'd like to stay around the I-85/I-285 interchange +/- 3 miles in every direction.

Anyone got any suggestions of some nice places they've lived or had friends live that they thought were nice?

I don't want to deal with 400 so the North Springs area is out of the question, it would kill me having to drive it every day. I'd be pulling my hair out.

there are apartments right off 85 and 285 in doraville, man they are cheap, inexpensive. wayy cheap. i think they are government subsidized. on the corner of buford highway and Oakcliff rd.

i wasn't kidding.

to be honest i don't even know if they are still there or not. we lived there 30 yrs ago. 😉

I may be a poor college student living paycheck to paycheck, but that doesn't mean I want to live in subsidized housing! 😉

Can I live w/ you? 😉
I work on Clairmont about 1/2 mile west of 85 and live up 85 a ways. Damn I hate that commute.

Hmmmm so you're either working at the McDonald's, Waffle House, or Dairy Queen right?

If the locations were switched for you it wouldn't be nearly as bad!

Move to Birmingham. The traffic ain't so bad. Glad I could help 🙂

You've got to be kidding me. I got caught in B'ham when I was in a band playing in FL and living in Nashville and the traffic was crazy!! Took us a good 90 min. to get through on 65.

Heh, nope, little further down in Century Center (office complex).

Anywhere from $500-$700 is reasonable enough for my budget. That should narrow down the possibilities some I'm more than certain.
