atkins diet?

Okay.. I hear a lot about this atkins diet.. I have a large body build (muscular) and I work out maybe 2 times a week. I will start running more.

How does it work? Are there any 'planned' diets out there? I would rather be told like.. eat so and so for breakfast, and so and so for lunch, etc. etc.

Thanks!!!

gotta read the book I been on it a few weeks better than slimfast for sure! lost 12lbs 3 weeks (I actually lost weight faster with slimfast but was hungry) It is not too hard but if you like Soda, Bread, Sweets it could be very hard. And this is a lifestyle diet in 4 phases you cannot go back to eating crappy or you will get the weight back in no time.

Oprah uses a similar diet. well her latest of MANY 😀

My wife was on it for a year. Pretty much, eat all the meat, cheese, eggs, butter you want, all day, every day, but don't eat enything else. It worked for her as long as she exercised, no exercise = no weight loss. Coming off the diet is hard because you'll gain weight again.

Did you try typing Atkins in that little search box up at the top of the forum here??

There must have been 20 threads on this in the past month alone.

If you aren't ready to dedicate a whopping $6 towards this, then I highly doubt you are ready to dedicate yourself to a lifestyle change.

Steak and chicken and fish and veggies are more expensive than pasta and bread.
Eggs aren't too bad though.
