Ati's radeon's prefered (recommended) games list

Now I notice that Seriuos Sam doesn't list bump mapping as a being supported.....interesting since I also noticed that the bump mapping looks better with my voodoo5 than it does on the radeon......what's the story here: is there real hardware bump mapping in the game or not? I thought there was???????????

ps: i see quake3 and UT aren't on the list......hhhhmmmmmm i wonder why, plus it seems this list is for the 8500

Thanks I needed someplace good to toss in a fog table dig.

Sofar that is THE only issue I have with the card, games I can turn the fog off no problems but in my freakin favorite (wwiiol) there is no such opption. From the 8500 retail on down the issue is the same so it should be a simple driver tweak, this is ATI were talking about though.

ya I have fog problems (no fog at all in a few games) but the fog does work in a some games

That's not a very comprehensive list. If I was a Radeon owner I'd be extremely worried.

It's not a big list right now because it is a new section that was added when ATi re-arranged their site a couple weeks ago. If you notice, aside from the Truform supported games all the other games are new (including 2 that haven't been released yet). I haven't had any problems with my games, and the majority of them don't appear on that list.

You can't expect ATi to pay an employee to go back and check every popular game for the last two years; that'd be several hundred games at the very least.
