I had to do a reinstall of 2000 a couple of months ago. When I loaded up guide plus for For my ATI AIW I could not get it to download the guide information. I just thought the server may be down or busy. I have tried it several times over the past several weeks without success. I have tried to uninstall and reinstall with the same results. This worked before I had to do the reinstall.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks in advance.

Do you get an error message or does it seem like the server is just really slow and not responding? Apparently the Guide+ servers were upgraded but it wasn't uncommon for it to take several minutes (give yourself 15 minutes) to download the channel line-up recently.

Up until recently, updates took no longer than 2 minutes. The last 2 weeks it's taken well over 20-30 minutes. You may want to try it at off-peak hours (late at night or early in the morning) or you might want to get through the setup again and "redo" your preferences.

Thanks GL I tried that probobly a month ago and it just didn't do anything I ended up aborting after about 30 minutes. But I am trying right now and I have been getting responses but sloooooooowww. I am on cable and when I installed this card about a three months ago it was finished under 60 seconds.

Man I started the Guide Plus update about 20 minutes ago and it just finished. Incredible, they must have sold a boat load over the past few months.

Have you ever used the tv button in the browser where it makes IE frame off much like when you use the search button on the tool bar? Anyhow if I use this tv after a while it will crash all of my open IE windows. Got to love 2000 stays right there. I am running IE 5.01 I guess it is time to update. ;) Incidently if I use the regular tv with and without the always on top selected, I have no problems at all.

With me, it's always taken 15-30 minutes to download. I find it odd that someone doesn't post this software someware, it's very handy to look up television programming. I have it installed on all 3 of my computers, using just the one Radeon AIW disc, so it doens't require the rest of the software like MMC 7.1.

Don't bother upgrading if you don't want to. I upgraded to IE6 for that very same reason and it still crashes. Who knows why...I just use the TV as usual and keep it in the corner of my desktop and that way I don't need it in my browser window.
