Ati's equivalent to Digital Vibrance Control?

Hey,

Im just wondering whether ATI graphics GPU's come with a function thats similar to nvidia's digital vibrance control feature. I really do like this feature, although ill be soon purchasing a laptop with a ATi M10P (Radeon 9600 Pro) graphics GPU.

I did have a look at the fx5650, but wasnt impressed at all, that and its quite hard to find an Athlon64 laptop with an FX5650 GPU anyway.

I don't think you can do anything besides adjusting the RGB channels.

It doesnt work like that thou.

Just been reading a thread on driverheaven, the ATI chip may by default produce a decent image on a 15.4" 1400x1050 TFT , so I may not need it after all

I was just going to start a thread on this same subject.

I've gotten used to Digital Vibrance from nVidia over the last couple years now (has it been that long?) and I just got a 9800 PRO this weekend. Man I miss Digital Vibrance! Fiddling with color channels doesn't even come close to touching DV. I'd have it on the lowest possible setting but colors would just pop out... be so much richer.

Oh well... after a couple weeks hopefully I'll get used to the *flat* color.

does suck quite a bit. I dont use it excessively either, just a hint to bring out the richness in video's I watch and general usage. If only Nvidia's mobile counterpart would compete like 80% of the performance of a 9600 mobile - when its more like 50%.

i like this feature but im woundering what all of you set it at, mine is at low for both my monitors

I set it a little less than LOW setting (anything over LOW seems way to intense and the colors bleed all over). MEDIUM -> HIGH seem pretty much useless unless you're trying to trip yourself out .
