ATI's 3276's and DVD

I just installed the 3276's off ATI's website since RTCW was running horribly. With the install it fixed the texture problems in RTCW and even my streaking problems in IE. However, the one thing that has always worked well, no londer does so. The DVD app starts fine (usually) and DVD's will start to play. However after a random amount of time (always less then one minute) the DVD app window shows some streaking (pink lines running horizontilly) and the whole system freezes. The only solution is a cold reboot. It does this regardless of the audio setting (SPDIF on/off) and all of it worked fine before the 3276's. Also MMC and DVD are at version 7.1 and 4.1 respectively. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone know any solutions? ATI's tech support has been less then stellar so I'm hoping someone in here has a fix!

I have a Radeon 64 DDR from Ati . . . also running 3276. DVD has NEVER worked right . . . so I don't use it. I use Power DVD 4.0 and there's no problems there.
