Well, I just finished building my latest gaming rig, and for my video card, I chose ATI's All-In-Wonder 8500dv. Now the card itself performs great, but it is the software which leaves a little something to be desired. Now I know that ATI isn't know for making the best drivers, but this is a little extreme. Lately, when I boot up, I find my system running really sluggish from the get-go. Well, I openned up Windows Task Manager, and what do you know, atiptaxx.exe (the ATI display properties prog) is eating up 99% (yeah, 99%) of my CPU. I couldn't believe it. I was wondering I just happened to get a cracked out version, or is everyone having this problem?

Yeah, I had found that as well, but thanks for the link. I just wanted to make sure I wasn't going to do any major damage by erasing it. I was simply wondering if anyone else had the same problem and what they did to fix it. But thanks.
