Im not gonna pay it all up front.

I think ABS does the monthly payment thing, right?

If not, Ill just ask my grandmother.

Im not spoiled for anything, I have just been wanting a kick @ss computer for like 5 years and havent exactly revieved any steller Birthday presents for Christmas presents in the past years....most expensive gift I had was like 30 bucks.

I dont care about the money, I just wanted a computer. And only a computer....

Dude save yourself $1200 and buy an Xbox 2 when it comes out. If you need a computer for other stuff, just buy something basic for like $500 and you'll still save $700.

You didnt read his post.

He obviously use's his computer for gaming, and he just wish's he could have a better experience but he cant afford 900 bucks worth of upgrades.

He is stuck with a 9800pro.

Xbox 360 is crap, its gonna cost you 700 with 4 controllers, 2 games and all the other crap.

For 200 bucks for more he could dish out his PC.

Xbox does not have the capability to run the internet, nor run programs that a PC can.

Plus the videocard the Xbox 360 will be running is a X850PRO (Which is outdated, and by the time xbox 360 is released...it will be ancient.)

He could very easily hook up an Xbox 360 to a computer monitor and play games that have graphics that are twice as good as those produced by a $3000 computer.

I said he could buy a basic PC to run the internet and apps with the money he would save.

The Xbox is $300, controllers maybe $40, games maybe $60. That's a total of $500 with 2 games and 2 controllers. Besides, he'd need controllers and games for the PC as well; that's a moot point.

Getting back to the OP:
My X800 Pro does just fine in BF2.

You dont have to spend tons of money on the best equipment just to play a new game.
AND, if you're trying to save money you really dont need to have frame rates in the triple digits.

Funny, I was checking my email earlier from my Xbox (not 360)

Xbox is not meant to check email, or run programs like a PC.

And Untill I read about it, I will not believe a word you say.

Even if it was possible, the games Xbox 360 can run are worthless....and unlock and PC you cant upgrade.

You cant use joysticks, (maybe Xbox-only ones) games are a tad more expensive and a gamepad is nothing compared to a mouse and key bord.

www.xbox-scene.org believe whatever you want, but I softmodded my box and in 10 minutes I could do a lot of different crap, including running Linux, XBMC(mediacenter app), Linksbox(spelling, webbrowser) DVD2Xbox(game/dvd ripper), DVDX2 for playing DVD's w/o 20$ remote/dongle. Not to mention the TONS of emulators for xbox. Ive modded 15+ boxes all being various versions so it isn't no fluke

oh yea, and with a old rear USB bracket, I spliced into the little xbox cord puller(whatever that thing is that hooks into controller) and then just use any USB keyboard.
