Current config:
Abit NF3 Nforce3 250GB
A64 3200+ s754 2200mhz stock o/c to 2400mhz (3600+ speeds?)
1GB Kingmax DDR500 *2 x 512*
160gb samsung 7200/8 main drive / maxtor 80gb sata 7200/8

----------

My geekish nature makes me upgrade agh to this:

Gigabyte Nforce4ultra-sli
A64 3500+ s939 (hope to o/c to 2600mhz?)
Gainward 7800GTX, 470mhz/1300mhz (factory default)
2 GB Kingmax DDR500 *4 x 512*
320 GB WD SataII

-----------

Worth it??
I will keep the "old" rig as a work rig probably, living in a poor country and changing / selling high-end parts is a no-go. So I have 2 64 bit machines already heh..

Monitor: 21" Nec Fe1250+, 1600x1200 at 85hz - rez. I'll be using for gaming most likely or 1856 x 1392 at 75hz - also good rez for gaming...

umm, unless you need it with an x800xt you can run any game right now at a good res but if you have a huge monitor or run a very very high res and want AA and AF on than go for it but i would really suggest the 7800gt look at benchmarks its alot cheaper and preforms pretty close with a little ocing i think it could be a gtx.

I think that is too low of a leap. I'd stick with your system man. I mean you CAN play everything ALMOST maxed out.

Almost? If I can pull if off with X800XL surely he can with an XT.

Not sure how deep your pockets are, but I would resist the temptation to upgrade. Looks to me like your replacing a perfectly capable Skt 754 just to upgrade to PCIE. If it were me, I would wait until a next gen AGP card came out, or until your Skt 754 becomes outdated. If you have the funds, upgrading would give you better graphics, but not much else.
