ATI X800XL or 6800GT Image quality

Hey all,
I understand that the differences in performance between the two cards are very minor.

Is this the case with image quality too? Does nvidia offer 3D AND 2D image quality equal to that of ati? I am interested in color quality and image sharpness. Now I know that quality can't be measured the same way performance can.

I just want to know what you guys think. I went from a ti4600 to my current 9800pro, and I noticed an improve in image quality. Will the 6800GT offer the 2D and 3D quality, AA quality and AF quality my 9800pro or an X800XL would offer? Quality is most important factor for me.
 
in all the reviews i've seen, there has never been much of a quality difference between the two. they both look stunning!
 
just get a 6800...unless you're just curious...because it has shader model 3.0 (a must for future games) while as the x800 series (even the x850) on supports SM2.0...

and the quality is the exact same almost...
