Hi all,
My trusty old gf4200ti is getting unusably long in the tooth, and is probably not going to be enough for the batch of new games coming this fall. (homm5, civ4, x3) Guess it's upgrade time again.
I'm wondering if anyone's been using the latest ATI hardware & binary drivers under linux, 2.6 series kernels in particular. Any great success or horror stories?
The price point of the X800GTO2 is very compelling, but judging by the state of ATI drivers for windows, I'm afraid the linux ones will be unusable. Unless I hear differently, 7800 it is for me.
