I have an X800 XT PE and X800 XT (both AGP), and X800 GTO2 (PCIe) still laying around and 2 different setups with the HD3200 (same as 4200 minus UVD2). For gaming, no contest whatsoever. The X800's blow them away. For an HTPC setup with no gaming though, the advanced video decoding and low power will be fantastic plus the HDMI.

edit: yeah no way the HD4200 is comparable to an X1950. It *might* be able to hang with a 9700 Pro. Maybe.

The only thing you'll have problems on are newer games that need shader model 3.0. That's what is getting me out of my x800xl.
