Hi..

I'm going to get rid of my 7950GT and get 2 x1950Pro cards because I need multiple monitors (4 total). I was just about to order the ATI x1950 Pro but then I noticed ASUS has a new x1950 Pro and for some reason (maybe a typo?) the ASUS says it has 16 piplines vs ATI's 12.

just wondering which card i'd be better off with....

It must be a typo, otherwise it wouldn't be called X1950 PRO, but instead X1950PRO+ or something like that, of X1950XT except with a slower core clock and memory. Just weird.

these guys back up the typo theory:

Personally, if the specs are the same and I was looking at these two cards I would opt for two of the single slot cards. While two dual slot cards are manageable, they take up a lot of space that could otherwise be used for other cards, plus the Asus cards don't even exhaust the hot air out the back anyway.

...btw, you can actually run two 7950GTs with 4 monitors also. You just install two cards, but you don't enable SLI.
