ATI X1900XT vs 8800 GT

I tried searching for reviews or topics in which both cards were in the same review. Thing is I currently own a 1900 XT and my friend just bought a 4870 and wants to sell me his 8800 GT. What is a good price to pay for the 8800 GT & how much better is the 8800 GT? He owned the card for about 1 month and no OC'ing was done.

its significantly more powerful than the 1900xt...but i wouldnt pay more than like 100 dollars considering whta you can purchase for 150 now days

I went from a 1900XTX to a 3870 and the improvement was substantial on my 19" 1280x1024 ... yeah, btw, you can get a 4850 for 169 after MIR from the egg.

It's definately noticably better. You gain about two resolutions level or more in newer games. Like if you're stuck at 1280x800, now you can handle 1680x1050. I just did the same upgrade two weeks ago. I'd say it's worth it, I sold my x1900xt for $60 and got a used 8800gt for $90. Definately worth the $30 in my book. Now I can handle every game smoothly on my 22" lcd at 1680x1050.
