Well, pretty much EverQuest 2 is jacked up. Every other game runs fine. I've reinstalled EQ2 twice to no avail... I am going to try the driver cleaner to see if it makes a difference at all... Their just weird looking red/white/black/orange/green, etc blocks =P Sometimes they stay, sometimes they flash on the WHOLE screen.

Picture of game problem...

that's some nice looking artifacting that you got there.

You overclocking this thing? I've seen weird stuff happen when you push the card too hard.

Nope, the thing is freakin 2 days old... It started doing this at the start... It's only this game and it doesnt overheat... It sits at about: 65°C - EQ2 .... 80°C - BF2 .... 73°C GRAW .... All with stock speeds....

Every other game is fine... I'm trying to uninstall, safe mode driver cleaner, install fresh drivers and see what happens... I've already contacted ATI about an RMA to see what I can do as well..

And it flashes... I just screen shotted that off a FRAPS video I recorded... It's not a stable thing, so I don't think it's a artifacting issue. I believe it's a driver or video card ram issue...

damn that sucks. You say it doesn't do that with any other game? Try using a different driver -- are you using Catalyst 6.6?

I already returned a Sapphire X1900XT to Newegg for similar reasons... EQ2 wouldn't load at the start... Tomorrow I'm going to try out my friends motherboard and see if it runs or not and if it does the same thing... That'll narrow down the problem... THen I get to do a RMA with either ATI or Asus, w00pee!

So you've tried a X1900XT and an X1900XTX and both exhibited the same behavior? It might be another piece of hardware that's causing the problems. Run Prime95 for at least 12 hours to see if you get an error. Run Memtest86 and see if you get any errors. Finally that PSU while it is 630w doesn't exactly scream quality to me. I'm wondering if Raidmax is overselling thier ratings and the PSU is not actually able to supply the juice needed for the very power hungry X1900 video cards.

Nah, I've tried a Sapphire X1900XT and a ATI-built X1900XT...

The Sapphire wouldn't load up EQ2, it would blackscreen when the game starts up and sit there...

The ATI-built would just have these huge ass blocks... I just reformatted again, not using chipset drivers and trying different stuff to just see what happens... =D

I will run those tests overnight tonight, thanks.
