I posted earlier about the 512mb version for $239.99. Now here is the 256mb version for $199.99!

Linky

If it takes you to the retail version that means it is out of stock, and you were too late.

better refurb deal than my earlier post for the 512mb version. Now I'm just crossing my fingers hoping I get just an Open-box item, and not a defective card.

do you suppose if the card was defective you could return it to ATI for a replacement?

It should have full warranty from the manufacturer

Wrong! ATI does not cover these at all. These "open box" are the same as refurbs and have a 14 or 21 day warranty from NewEgg. That's it.................

15-day. I bought 1, but now I'm having 2nd thoughts as I'm looking at the $294 XFX 7900GT that has a $30 MIR making it $264+ shipping. Anyone know how the 7900GT (mainly a faster 7900GT like the evga or xfx version) compares to the x1800xt 256mb/512mb? I'm looking through tomshardware and not finding any charts yet.

There are a ton of threads in the video section debating the X1800XT and the 7900GT.
It basically comes down to brand preference and whether or not you plan to volt mod the 7900GT.

NO, They do not have a Mfr warranty. In some case the serial number was already registered by the Prior owner.

You are getting an "As Is" Item no warranties implied or specified other than the 15 day return.

People return these items for a reason, they find something wrong and swap it for a new one. Nobody refurbished these.

Does this go for OEM items as well? Or are OEMs insured somehow?

OEMS carry full Mfr warranties, sometimes longer that Retail versions (HHD,s)

Well I ran both on 3D Mark 05 and the X800XTPE scored 6810 and the X1800XT got 8680 on the same system. For all that's worth.........

kewl. Any game benchmarks? I have CS:S and BF2. I'll let you guys know what difference there is (in terms of fps) between the x850xt and the x1800xt 256mb when I get my card next week.
