do you suppose if the card was defective you could return it to ATI for a replacement?

It should have full warranty from the manufacturer

15-day. I bought 1, but now I'm having 2nd thoughts as I'm looking at the $294 XFX 7900GT that has a $30 MIR making it $264+ shipping. Anyone know how the 7900GT (mainly a faster 7900GT like the evga or xfx version) compares to the x1800xt 256mb/512mb? I'm looking through tomshardware and not finding any charts yet.

NO, They do not have a Mfr warranty. In some case the serial number was already registered by the Prior owner.
You are getting an "As Is" Item no warranties implied or specified other than the 15 day return.
People return these items for a reason, they find something wrong and swap it for a new one. Nobody refurbished these.

Does this go for OEM items as well? Or are OEMs insured somehow?
