ATI X1800XL AIW comes without 4 to 6 pin power adapter

I got the ATI X1800XL AIW for christmas and to my dismay, itcomes without 4 to 6 pin pcie power cord adapter. Has anyone else noticed this???

The manual states that some ATI X1800XL AIW require the adapter, but those will have it included. From what I can gather they all require it. I am a steadfast ATI fan, but this is rudicolous. Especially since I have to special order it from ATI (out of stock) or my local hardware shop.

Am I not understanding how it should work??? Any ideas???

I just purchased mine today an ASUS EAX1800XL 256mg and mine was all there.
Send a measage back to ATI and tell them to put a cattle prodder to those little elves in the packaging department.
