ATI X1800 and X1900GT thru kvm...

Hello forum,
I can't get an ATI X1800XT or a X1900GT to "wake up" my crt so that I can boot into the bios when connected thru the kvm switch. I have to run the video direct to the crt.

Trendnet 801r kvm... using dvi to d-sub converter that came with the video cards.

When booting into windows there is no video until the desktop launches. Not really acceptable!!

Ideas??

So with the system directly connected to the monitor, the monitor turns on at POST but when it's connected to the KVM, the monitor won't come on until Windows is up and running?

Sounds like an issue with the KVM to me, not the video card.

The kvm switch is a possibility but the other computers on the kvm switch do not have this problem. 2 of the computers have older nvidia cards, 1 has an older ati and the all work correctly... The 2 new cards are also the only pci express... The older 3 are agp...
