I'm wondering what i can do fix the TV-out issue with my new ATI x1650 card. I use the latest Catalyst driver, but I use ATI Tray Tool to control the card. The TV-out worked perfectly when I used ATI 9600 Pro card, but now that i have the x1650, its output scrambles the TV signal. The image shows up, but it just rolls and rolls. I use the S-video to RCA jack, then use RCA cable to connect to TV's video input.

Any help? I'm thinking there's some sync problem somehow. Could it be a faulty ATI card?

not a problem with my x1650pro card in my HTCP :(
I just checked for yeah using a TVout-RCA cable and everything worked fine.

Don't know... are you connecting to HD-TV or standard Def TV ?
If you have a RGB connector on your TV then i suggest using a VGA to RGB connector ; )

Also make sure it's not outputting the wrong standard TV signal...

If you're in the US, you don't want the X1650 outputting a PAL signal.. otherwise it'll look like total junk..

Thanks for the tips. I'm outputting the NTSC signal using the S-video jack on the back of x1650. Then I have a connector that converts S-video to RCA, and I use that RCA signal to standard TV.

By the way I use DVI to output primary to my LCD screen. I've heard that I may need to use Analog to connect to LCD, and that'll give good output to TV-out. Anyone has similar issues?

Okay I fixed the problem. Even though the setting shows NTSC, it somehow isn't set right. All I had to do was to set it as PAL, and then set it back to NTSC, and now it works great!
