You can both on an SLI board, but you cannot get the benefit of them running together. It's either or. (I think.)

i mean, can i run like a 6600gt with a X800 together at the same time, i know SLI won't work, but be able to run upto 4 monitors. Or do i have to use both of the same brands?

You can run both simultaneously in XSLIFire



Okay, seriously, you should be able to run both just fine (but not in SLI).
