Ati vs. Nvidia's drivers features

i've had the chance to try out both an ati and nvidia card (9800 and ti4200 specifically) and something that really draws me to ati is the fact that the secondary display can be moved anywhere and run at any resolution (as opposed to nvidia's which can only clone or give you one big resolution) and that ati's tv-out can overscan and get rid of the black bars (I tried tv-tool but i couldn't get it to work while using tv-out on the secondary monitor). So my question is: Are my obvservations still correct? (ie have there been changes to drivers recently or am i just missing features etc.....cuz i don't have either card anymore).

Um...I can move my second display anywhere and run it any resolution. It's a 15 inch LCD on a ti4600 running the 52.16's. Nvidia's tv out might indeed suck, I've never played with it.

TheMouse why are you posting links to the forums your posting in? When I hooked up a second monitor for a bit I could change the resolution on it with my nvidia card. There were two profiles for each monitor.
