I am building a new computer, and for my graphics card, I have purchased the ABIT Siluro? GeForce FX5600 DT 256MB (specs at: http://www.abit-usa.com/products/graphics/products.php?categories=2&model=45).

My question is: Was this a wise purchase? It cost me about 300 Dollars Canadian (or almost 200 American). The ATI Radeon 9500 PRO or the 9600 PRO are in the same price range. Should I exchange for either? If so, why? Some of these differences between the graphic card are much too technical for me. If someone could explain, as unbiased as possible, that would help. I would be using this essentially for gaming, with a view to play stuff like World of Warcraft when it hit, and some upcoming first person shooters as well.

The rest of the essential computer is an Intel 2.4C (HT), 1GB DDR400 Mhz ram, and MBIT Neo2 board.

The 9500 Pro will be faster than it, but also look at the 9700 Non pro which is hovering at about $200 US now which is much better than all of those. Also, right now a 256MB video card isn't of much use, not yet atleast, it may be a few years down the road, but by then you'll need a faster video card to take advantage of it.
