Does it matter what type of moterbaord you get if you get the x1800xt or do you need the crossfire motherbaord

only a crossfire motherboard if yuo will want to do crossfire.

Get a mobo with PCI-EXPRESS and if you want to do dual ATI cards you need a CROSSFIRE mobo and cards.....and if you didnt know that...id advise against spending that much money on a video card
