I am currently using MMC 7.1 with my ATI TV Wonder PCI.. and its workin well except for that thing where the display is all screwed up when you run the TV app. I know how to get around it though..

I was just wondering if there are any advantages to upgrading to MMC 7.5. I know that 7.5 is officially for the 8500dv though.

I did the same thing...installed the 7.5. ButI found the whole ATI software sutie to be unstable... couldn't record stuff etc.
I have since un-installed the 7.5 and re-installed the 7.1, it works much better...

I find the only advantage to using MMC is that I can schedule recording (for some reason, MMC 7.5 doesn't allow you to do this, or at least, I haven't found how). Other than that, I never use MMC to capture video. For some reason, under WinXP, the TV video is all screwed up until I record something, so I don't use it to watch TV anyway. For that I use a third party program. So it's really not that big of a deal. I would welcome newer drivers more than anything else.

I?m currently using MCC 7.5 with the latest beta drivers, (6011) on a AIW Radeon in Win2k. Works great, the beta drivers fixed the missing channel problem, (Channels 20 and 63 wouldn?t come in) records fine, scheduler works and the blended desktop feature is kinda nice.

I don?t have a problem scheduling programs in either Gem or using the ATI scheduler, (found in setup) using MCC 7.5 but then again I'm not running WinXP.
