ATI TV Wonder VE Tuner Quality

Just a question...I have an ATI 32Mb DDR LE video card and a TV Wonder VE in my 1.4 AMD(K7S5A MB) with 512 DDR ram. The image quality is not what I'd call outstanding when either the TV or VCR input device is used. It's not bad but certainly not of the same quality as any of my TV sets. Basically it's slightly grainy, especially in full screen mode. Is this normal for the Tuner or am I forgetting to tweak a setting somewhere.
PS- my display is a Dell Trinitron

All TV tuner cards look like that & I've tried quite a few.

I finally gave up & put a cheap TV next to my monitor.

Don't forget that if you're watching it full screen you're noticing the graininess because the picture is so much bigger than the TV signal.
I think any screen resolution higher than 1024x768 is way too big for watching fullscreen TV tuner picture.
