i'm not really sure why windows isn't detecting this new hardware. maybe this is a dumb question, but is there supposed to be a power cord to this card? it didn't say anything about connecting any cords in the manual, but i'm having my doubts because windows isn't even saying that the hardware is there. thanks in advance for any help/answers.
 
Install the drivers from the cd first. Then windows will detect it. Not really a good tv tuner. Don't know if they fixed the problem but when using the tuner. Picture would be messed up and would have to change resolution to see anything.
 
well, i feel pretty stupid, but the problem is solved. i didn't have the card pushed in the PCI slot completely. it's all fixed now. the drivers that came with the card are worthless though. i had read about people having driver problems from the newegg reviews, but i got a good deal on the card ($48.00 at compUSA) and i was planning on getting the remote that came with it anyway. i downloaded the drivers from ati's site and everything works okay. it's not great quality or anything, but i knew it wouldn't be when i bought it.
