ATI TV Wonder Pro

I am trying to put an ATI TV Wonder Pro card in my computer and it is proving to be a major PITA. I got the card installed, installed drivers, and the ATI Media Center software. However, media center always crashes as soon as I load it. I ran the ATI System Compatility check and it says my capture driver isn't installed. So I check device manager, and it shows that the card is installed correctly with an ATI driver, device is working properly, no IRQ conflicts, all that good stuff. I went ahead and downloaded all the latest drivers and software from ATI's site, completely uninstalled the old ones, installed new drivers, new software, and it does the same thing. I even tried a new PCI slot. I sent a support ticket into ATI but god knows how long that will take, and was wondering if anyone here had any ideas.

I also have a Radeon X800 installed, and I completely removed its driver and downloaded the latest Catalyst. Didn't really think that would work, but I needed to update my Catalyst anyways.

Before installing MMC, did you install Windows Media "encoder" 9? It is required for MMC, and it gives that exact same error (extremely common issue)

Yaay. I love AT 🙂 Actually, the encoder installed the first time around, but I just went into setup and told it to repair, and now it works 🙂
