Does anyone know how to install the ATI TV Wonder in Windows XP?

When I search for the drivers at ATI's website, all it has for me to download is the ATI Multimedia Center. When I run the installation file for that, a message box states that I need to install the WDM TV capture drivers before the multimedia center. I tried using the WDM drivers for the Radeon, but they didn't work.

Any idea where to find the correct WDM drivers?

Thanks.

i *think* it's on the ATI website somewhere. Because i remember running into the same problem a little bit ago. Unfortunately, i don't know if i ever got the drivers work with XP. I thought i remember them working with 2000 and not with XP. Hard to say. I do know that the drivers can be found on the website though. They might be packaged with one of the other install files.

 The ATI PCI TV cards are notoriously bad in modern OS. The files should be on the ATI website though, perhaps they are finally updating them to work with WinXP. From what I hear all you actually need to do is manually extract the files and then direct Windows to them rather than try using the auto install procedure.

What you talking about? it installs fine for me and runs fine! Although DSCaler looks better than the ATI TV Player.

To install, you do dl this
file. When it's done, run the .exe and it will exxtract all the files. Once extracted, run device manager and go to the !'s (which should be ur TV wonder) and install the drivers manually. Once done, go to the directory and run the setup.exe in MMC.

Dude, the problem here is that you're being a silly fool. If you had actually bothered to read the INSTRUCTIONS that came with that mediacentre download you would see that the drivers come with it. They are put in a folder under the root of C and you have to go to devman and choose to update the driver from there and point it to the directory. Then you can install mediacentre. If you had actually bothered reading more than the first few lines of the instructions you would know this. I hope the next time you shoot your mouth off it's about something valid like the quality of the drivers rather than them simply not existing where they do. You might want to read up on this thread for more information about valid issues.

So you're recommending an ATI beta? I'll have to try it. Can't be any worse then MMC 7.1
