ATI TV Wonder Elite...

Does the ATI TV Wonder Elite have a hardware MPEG-2 encoder AND a hardware MPEG-2 decoder?

Also, does the Remote Wonder Plus (comes with the TV Wonder Elite) work within Windows Media Center 2005?

-Thanks

Theater 550 cards like TV Wonder Elite do have a MPEG-2 hardware encoder chip. They do not decode the video, it is up to the graphics card to decode.

The RW+ does have at least some MCE functionality, I'd go to "thegreenbutton.com" to find out what feeatures the remote supports.

MCE 2005 does not ship with the DVD decoders needed to watch TV or the recorded video's (nor does the TV Wonder Elite). These generally ship with the video card you buy, or must be purchased seperately.
