Pentium 233MMX @200MMX (motherboard Limit)
ECS P5VT-Be
96 MB IBM Simm
2.0GB WD HDD
Generic 40X CDrom
Creative Labs Voodoo 2 12MB Banshee PCI (secondary 3d card)
Matrox MGA Millenium 2MB PCI
D-Link NIC PCI
ESS 1868 Sound Card ISA
ATI TV Wonder PCI (7.1 Drivers)
Windows Me

I decided to put some of my systems to "sleep" recently, but I want to play PS2 on my PC like I did in the past. I had put the ATI TV Wonder in the Pentium system. I installed the newest drivers, made all the connections, now MY TV do NOT work. All other ATI programs in the Multimedia Center work (CD Player, VCD Player, File Player)

But when I try to turn on the ATI Television and ERROR message pops up

" The TV Player failed to initialize the Video. Ensure the correct video drivers have been installed and close any application which may be playing video such as DVD or WebTV before attempting to restart TV."

I do not know what is causing this, ALL the drivers are updated. Is it my Graphics Card (MAtrox, because it is only 2D and 2MB, or My Voodoo2 12MB Banshee 3D card.) If it is neither, do I need a better Video card, TnT..Geforce PCI??? I know it is compatible with ATI and nVdia cards, does it not work with 3DFX or Matrox. I use the Matrox or else I have a 2MB Trident VGA card I can replace it with. Any info would be appreciated. Click Here! for ATI wonder info and can someone help me I have to finish MGS2 and I have no TV at home (dont ask)

Aww come on anybody?? I'm running out of ideas, I was just thinking of getting a Visiontek Geforce 2 MX400 PCI 64MB for the graphics card if needed. Does the Pentium 200MMX support Geforce 2MX PCI?

I had a similar problem... the beta drivers don't always include the WDM drivers that the TV wonder requires (at least the WinXP version). I removed the beta drivers, and all ati drivers using the Ati driver removal guide (search the Rage3D forums).
Then I reinstalled the video drivers using the latest "Official" drivers posted on the ATI web page (There are new ones there today) and then the MMC software.

Hope this helps...

You may want to keep your eye out for a Radeon AIW card (PCI), they should be cheaper now... You'll be able to free up some PCI slots and more importantly, have fewer drivers to install.

Thanks for the info masterc.. your right I have a lot of peripherals in this machine, (it is an AT motherboard), I already installed the ATI WDM drives before installing the Multimedia software. I have not changed the Matrox VGA card yet. I do not know what to replace it with, can the Pentium handle a Geforce 2 MX PCI!!?? Come on I cant take it any longer. (I dont want a ATI PCI in wonder card)

I read somewhere that the GF2 MX cards are dependant on your CPU speed, but with your current cpu (P1 I think) you may have a tough time finding any vid card that won't suffer with that CPU... best bet look for the cheapest PCI version of any flavour radeon, they shouldn't be too expensive.

FYI... it looks like ATI is now offering their WDM drivers separate from the Video drivers. You may want to try installing their latest ones.
