wow thanks... this does seem like a pretty good card.... especially that the program doesn't crash much (i've had that problem with ati cards before.... )

I don't know about the capture part, but the winxp drivers for the tvwonder mess up the tuner image. You have to either switch the color depth and then switch it back, or click on another program while the tv wonder is coming up in order to get clear video. ATI doesn't seem to want to fix this problem either. You're also screwed if you want to ahve the tv wonder come on and record at a certain time. Unless you leave the tuner going, the card will turn on and record a corrupt image. I'll never buy anotehr ATI tv card again. Although if it's cheap enough and they make a good digital tv tuner card in teh future with true xp support (or whatever is current) I'll probably buy it.

I have a Gainward GeForce 4 4400 Ti and a TV-Wonder PCI using Windows 2000 Professional. Everything works beautifully for me! I have been hesitant to use Windows XP because I have heard bad things about the TV-Wonder and Windows XP. I am going to create a separate partition and install Windows XP just to try it. I will be sure to post my results on here.

Are you actually looking for a tuner? Or just a card for video in and capture? If it's the later and you're going to get a GF4, why don't you simply just try the built-in VIVO function before wasting your money on an external card like the TV Wonder? I have an ATI TV Wonder VE and honestly speaking, you're not missing much. As far as I know, all the GF4 ti4600's come with VIVO. Not sure about the ti4400's and ti4200's though.

I have had a few problems but nothing huge with my ati tv-wonder (pci) card and windows xp. For some reason (and I think it's very strange).. when watching video from my camcorder.... when the tape runs out or when I just happened to quit filiming and it goes to static it totally messes up my picture in the window of the ati screen... and it won't become "un messed up" until I reboot. Also.. I think the ati scheduling is messed up b/c even though I just switched users so my mom could use it while I was at work it gave me an error (bah).. also what I'm truely mad about is that the 7.1 multimedia center for winxp has NO guide+ support and also I don't have the timeshifting option. That is RIDICULOUS imo and SUCKS! I have just upgraded from a voodoo3 3000 to an ati radeon 8500 Retail.... good card and was cheap... but .... I hope after a year they don't just ditch the radeon 8500 like they did their tv-wonder cards! Anyone else not have those 2 features using the card and windowsxp??

Thanks.

I wish I read this thread before buying the ATI-TV WONDER card. I have Windows XP and ... all I get is fuzz. No reception at all. :(

I have a spare Voodoo3-3500TV graphics card, and when I use that, the TV works fine so I know it's not the antenna. I've tried uninstalling the ATI-TV WONDER and reinstalling it with the latest drivers from ATI's web site with no luck. I guess the card's going back.

I placed an order for the Leadtek that AmdInside mentioned. Hope this will work better.
