ATI TV TUNER VE Problem (re: video in)

I have an ATI TV-Wonder VE and the television option disappeared from the options and i am unable to get tv on it anymore. I tried to open the TV Player, the Video In player appeared instead. Ive tried
uninstalling and reinstalling but nothing. Has anyone else encountered this and know of a fix ?

The card works since i am now using dscaler to watch tv but i would like to record it. Im using the TV WONDER VE on XP (was working then suddenly stopped). I was originally using 7.1 and have even tried 7.5 but it doesnt work. I have contacted ati but their "tech support" is useless. This is a common (and known) problem with it but all their "fixes" havent worked

I have a normal ATI TV Wonder and it works flawlessly with MMC 7.1 on Windows XP for me. You're not being detailed enough though. How is it not working? Is it just not running or are you getting error messages??

The option for tv is gone under the "connectors" sub-menu, in the mmc program the option "tv tuner" disappeared and now the only things that will work is "svideo" or "composite." The card works but for some reason that software doesnt

Try uninstalling the ati drivers completely.. even in regedit ( search the Rage3d forums for the ATI driver removal guide)
Then re-install the MMC7.5, it's should work fine.
