ATI trade in program

I was woundering if anyone has done this before? The price for their 9600pro $149 seems like a good deal. I can send them an old ISA card I have laying around and get the card cheaper than Newegg.

it must be a similar product so you cannot send the ISA card. You have to send a card relatively comparable like a Nvidia GF3 or something like that.

It does not say that anywhere in their terms. I guess even if they do I have a dead 7000 laying around as well.

Try it and see what happens. You do have to tell them what card you're sending back if I'm not mistaken.

There is an online form that you fill out stating what type of card you will be sending back. I don't really think that they would reject anything however. It's kind of like when car dealers do the push, pull or drag any car in for a minimum $3000 trade-in. What would they be doing with the old cards anyway? Maybe they have some poor sap in charge of reselling them on e-Bay or something, LOL.

Do keep in mind that you would be paying for the shipping of your old card to them, as well as probably paying shipping costs of the new card. This quickly brings the price up to near Newegg territory IMO.
