Using ati tool i get artificating at around 650 core but i dont in games. Ive loaded up oblivion/stalker and no problems at all. Is ati tools really not that accurate for nvidia cards?

I used it to OC my 7950GT to 635/875. Those are the clocks that are reported by every analysis software, so I would guess so.

I've heard that ATItool is pretty sensitive...then again, it may just be the fact that it's an Nvidia card.

ATi tools fully supports nvidia cards, it used to be ATi only and the guy that makes it decided to support nvidia, but the name stuck.

Their artifact testing tool is supposed to be "worst case scenario" and ive found that even below the threshold that it starts finding artifacts, you can still crash in supreme commander.

I agree with the comment that ATiTool is overly sensitive. I had a 6600gt I once tried with it and it had artifacts at stock speeds! Dont know if thats still the case with the latest ATiTool versions though.

It is very possible to have artifacts at stock speeds, youre supposed to RMA the card in that case.
