ATI Tool question

I read the quick start guide here & noticed in the "Artifact Scanning" section that if one was to check for artifacts unattended (not recommended), clicking on the settings button in ATITool, selecting ?Artifact Scanning? in the drop down box, checking the ?Stop scanning for maximum clock,? and then typing in a number of seconds in the box below. Setting this to a larger value gives a higher probability that the clock speeds that ATITool eventually sets your card to will be stable.
If anyone has used this feature, what "larger value" did you use?
I'm testing a XFX 7900GT that's been volt-modded & am trying to see what she'll do.
Thanks.
