Hey Everybody,

I recently got a Dell 8300 with the Radeon 9800. I don't game, so I'm selling the 9800 to someone. However, since the card came with the computer, I don't have a software CD to give him. I downloaded the drivers from the ATI site, but I'm wondering if that's all there is. Does that include the new SmartShader and SmoothVision?

If not, how can I go about getting these so I can burn them all on CD for him. If someone has it or knows how I can get it (without registering the card at ATI.com) I would greatly appreciate it. Thanx in advance for all your help.

EDIT: I guess I'm looking for the catalyst software that comes with the card in the retail package.

drivers and software can be downloaded from ATI. the only thing the cd is needed for is to install the dvd decoder.

smartshader = marketing name for its directx components (pixel+vertex shaders) that is hardware, built into card
SmoothVision = marketing name for its FSAA. it is built into its drivers
Catalyst = marketing name for its drivers and other pieces of software. download driver and control panel and burn to cd for your friend
