It would appear that the launch date has fallen back to the 21st of November, rather than it's originally anticipated date of November 14th (the same day as the 512MB GTX release).

Source: Undisclosed.

Small bit of bad news for those of you interested in the product (which I imagine is probably not a large number).

AIW has always been overpriced, especially for a TV Tuner and some software...

Ok I'll bite. Would you mind supplying the link that says it was supposed to be launched on the 14th in the first place?

that's too bad, but maybe anyone considering that card can spend the week deciding what a huge waste of money it is...

I suppose its under NDA but then mentioning the date isnt breaking NDA? I dont know the specifics of NDA relating to X1800AIW.

It was actually supposed to be the 7th. Then it got moved to the 14th. Then it got moved again. I can't say much else.

True, but what can you do with a AIW that you can't do with a 3rd-party TV tuner?

You'll have the extra pci slots and the handy dandy ATI remote :)

Overpriced? You might want to look at the X800 XT AIW and consider that it has the 550 on it, does decode/encode, does VIVO, has a remote (which is good if you are on analog), and games like an XT. The price is marginally more than an XT, and that even depends on the mfgr.

You can always get the ATi Theater 550(?) instead. Same features, plus you can keep it when you upgrade (especially since there's now a PCIe version of it being released).
