ATI Silencer 4 + Sapphire X800XT

Just got and installed the ATI Silencer 4 on my Sapphire X800XT, and at stocks speeds my temps are:

Idle: 38-ish
Load: 60-ish

Is this normal? I've seen some reviews on the net where they get load temps of 53C when Oc'd to X850XT speeds. I'm pretty sure I've installed it right, in fact, I disassembed it and re-assembled it to be sure, with a fresh application of thermal paste.

So, am I fussing over nothing or is there something I'm missing? Coz I'd really love to OC to X850XT speeds but these temps are worrying me.

Those temps are pretty normal.

My x800xl with a AC silencer 5 rev 2:

idle : 38
load: 56

See, those are pretty similar temps. WHen you see poeple with really low temps you have to consider that there are alot of factors coming into play here. When my computer is in the basement on the cement floor my X800XL temps drops to
idle : 36
load: 53

But since I usually have it in my room upstairs where the room temp is alot higher my temps rise to the first set of temps.

So what I'm saying is that its hard to compare temps with other people when you have no idea where their computer is in their house or the room temps they are in. Your temps are perfect.

Did you use the Thermal compound that came with it or did you use some aftermarket choice like Arctic Silver? Did you clean ther GPU core with with Isopropyl 70%(91 is best)?

Don`t worry about it!
Those temps are real fine!!

At best AS5 might only change the temps a few degrees nothing to write home about!!
