ATI Silencer 1

Has anyone here used the Arctic Cooling ATI Silencer 1 VGA cooler? If so, will it help dramatically in VGA OC'ing? Is it hard to install? Basically what I'm trying to say is that I don't want to waste an extra $30 for something that will improve very little performance and/or will be a pain in the ass.

Thanks.

I had to cut off a small bit for it to fit on my 9700 Pro... it works well and quiet too. You will void your warranty of you use it.

I think the VGA Silencer has two main benefits when overclocking.
1. It works better than the stock cooler. Infact, at it's slow speed it cools the same as the stock cooler.
2. It moves the heat from the GPU to outside the case. This will cause your cpu and gpu to run a little cooler.

It's pretty easy to install. It is pretty freaky cranking down on those two screws, but as long as you do each screw a little at a time you should be fine.
