Looks like ATI is finally pulling itself back out of the hole it was slipping into. At least with the Uber high end.

I want some decent mid-range card. ATI still has no competitor to the $300 7800GT... I want more choices this Christmas.

repost ,but still a decent read. sheds light on the ati card and should quietdown those annoying ati releases products? jokes. It looks like Nvidia is on the shaft for the 7800gtx512, which seems like a smaller release tan even 5800u or x800xtpe. Peopel need to start facing up to that both companies will make mistakes in releasing low voluime cards that claim the top performance position with a minimal of real retail units.

Yeah but it's also probable that NVIDIA didn't anticipate the high level of demand for this card, especially with the new gen GPU's due in 2 months. It's boggles my mind paying $750 or whatever for this card anyways, all the more so because of what's right around the corner.
