Either I'm going nuts, or this isn't a PCI-Express video card that I ordered.

Yup, that would an AGP 8x card... Any chance you just picked the wrong one? Check your order confirmation or whatever. If you actually did order a PCI-e card, call/email ATI and get them to send you the correct card.

I ordered it through my work. I got a nice discount for it since I'm an authorized reseller of ATI. Anyway, there's a form that has to be filled out and faxed in. I ONLY CHECKED OFF RADEON X800 XL 256MB PCIE and yet they claim they see it as AGP. At which point I tell him I'm looking at my damn original order form and only PCIE is checked off. Then he gives me the "correct office", which of course is in Canada. On top of that, the dumbass who screwed me over in the first place is on vacation until July 21st. YIPPIDY DOODAH. So she leaves a number for "urgent calls only please". Hell yeah, this is urgent. The next number I call, I get voicemail as well because "I am in today, however I will be in several meetings." Bullcrap :disgust:

UGH. Thanks...I'm requesting that they rush my order...my main rig's been out for a few days and it's getting annoying to be on this POS.

Could be worse you have slowly been building up a machine for over year and now down to one part. to make matters worse the earliest you could buy that part is 3 months away.

Isn't that like a double negative? If you have computer parts from a year ago, the're already outdated ;)
