Not to crap on the thread, but you can get the ATI Radeon Le DDR Ram for about $10 cheaper shipped... It's much faster! Although this is still a good card don't get me wrong :)

This is one of the better PCI cards that you can get if your motherboard has no AGP slots. I picked one up for the "spare" computer at a Staples B&M. It was $99.98, used a $20 off $100 and there was a $30 rebate form from it. Not sure if its a Staples one or a Mfg one. Probably a mfg one but store specific.

impretty:
There is no link to be posted. You would just have to go to your local Staples stores to see if they carry it. Most of the ones in my neighorhood (Zip Code 11432) don't carry that particular video card anymore.

staples put the price back to $119 last time i was there
the rebate is a store spcific manufacturers rebate, most stores have the rebate, but each have their own form.

stay away from ATI. i have had nothing but problems with their cards. seriously, if you like the prospect of having to disable ACPI and manually assigning IRQs just to get these damn things to play DVDs, be my guest. otherwise, stick with nVidias.

works fine for me in 2000 and 98.

in fact i think every one of my machines have ATi now, even the laptop.

the drivers are weak in 2000 for gaming, but maybe we shouldnt be gaming in 2000 anyway ;)
